LITTLE TREASURE
With a new print studio I can now bring together a skill base of painting and the use of materials, to combine them with creative printing in working towards a visual poetry which informs much of what I aspire to in art.

Poet, Emily Dickinson’s lines: - ’Friday I tasted life. It was a vast morsel. A circus passed the house -
I still feel the red in my mind’, sum up what I would love to achieve in paint and print!

Also, the poet, Gerard Manly Hopkins’s concept of, ‘inscape’ or inner landscape and ‘Instress’ which gives creative vitality to life, are concepts that inspire me to explore at closer range the source of light and embrace more immediately the elements of Air, Water and Earth.

Abstraction of the art elements, I know from the past, form the basis of a very exciting visual language and I attempt to use this language in a fresh and original way-
